Alan B. Hendricks

Alan and his brother, Randy, co-founded Hendricks Sports Management in the 1970’s. In 1999 they sold their company to SFX Entertainment. While with SFX, Alan served as Senior Vice President of the agency, which had five offices and represented 16% of all major league players.

Following the conclusion of their management contracts in late 2003, the Hendricks brothers re-established Hendricks Sports Management as a boutique baseball agency, designed to serve a select number of clients.

Alan has been an agent since the early days of free agency. He is a veteran of many record setting contracts and other important matters in the baseball industry. He has been ranked near the top of Baseball America power brokers and has been named its top agent. He has been named to The Sporting News list of the 100 Most Powerful People in Sports, including most recently in 2003.

Mr. Hendricks served as a member of the advisory task force to The Houston/Harris County Sports Facility Public Advisory Committee in 1995-96, which led to new baseball, football and basketball facilities in Houston.

Alan has served on the Board of Trustees at St. Francis Episcopal Day School and on the vestry of St. Francis Episcopal Church. Alan presently serves on the Mayors Task Force to prevent the growth of Hepatitis C.

Alan received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston.

A native of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Alan lives in Houston with his wife, Jane. He is the father of two grown sons.
